Production design

Kaiser Permanente

As a seasoned designer (contract) within Kaiser Permanente's in-house agency, I create branded motion graphics and print collateral — from brochures to animated explainers to event materials — for internal clients across B2B, B2C, and B2E teams.

New employee orientation

Production design for Kaiser Permanente's New Employee Orientation program, built on a concept — colorful geometric shapes paired with black-and-white photography — developed by another designer. I carried that direction through final production across a welcome video, PowerPoint template, digital checklists, and other onboarding materials.

in-house agency sizzle reel

Developed a sizzle reel for Kaiser Permanente's internal agency, Multimedia, showcasing the breadth of the team's work across design, photography, video, web, and live events. Built from concept through final animation to give stakeholders a fast, compelling sense of everything the department delivers.

Mental health services animation

Developed a video for Kaiser Permanente's website helping current and prospective members understand how to access mental health care, from initial storyboard through final animation. The goal was to make a process that can feel confusing or intimidating clear and approachable.

About the design

In this video, we wanted to showcase a diversity of ages and races across a range of care modalities. By placing the characters in windows, I was able to easily transition between settings and showcase a variety of people without investing too much of our budget in illustrating and animating backgrounds.

A tale of two audiences

Our client wanted to use this collateral in both member-facing contexts and B2B materials. We made the upfront decision to create two separate videos so that we could tailor each to its intended audience, while strategically reusing overlapping content and visuals wherever possible.

“Meeting the Moment”

An animated video series spotlighting Kaiser Permanente employees going above and beyond for patients. Kaiser Permanente's brand illustration system is flat by design, which works well for static applications but flattens out in motion. For this series, I adapted it with gradients, textures, brushed linework, and softened edges, giving the animation the dimensionality it needed in order to tell these emotional, human stories.

family medicine residency

Designed a logo and recruitment brochure for a new residency program at Kaiser Permanente Sacramento, built to help attract strong candidates. The goal was to give a brand-new program its own identity — distinct enough to stand out to prospective residents, while still feeling clearly part of Kaiser Permanente.

concept & strategy work

Even working within an established system, I bring the same strategic thinking to every decision — how a layout communicates, how a hierarchy guides the eye, how a template holds up across formats and contexts.

That instinct is also what led to bigger opportunities — concepting the visual identity for the Aging Well Summit, developing annual Nurses Week campaigns, and helping shape the experiential design of the Garfield Innovation Center Pop-up.
